Four Gallivan, White and Boyd Attorneys Elected as Partners
Greenville, SC – Four of Gallivan, White & Boyd, P.A.’s brightest attorneys have been elected as partners by the firm’s shareholders. Amber Dorrell, Janice Holmes, Jared Pretulak, and Grayson Smith received this election at the partnership’s annual meeting in December. Gallivan, White and Boyd Managing Shareholder David Rheney states, “These four attorneys have shown exceptional legal skill and have served the firm’s clients well in a number of different areas of the law. We are proud to have them as partners.”
Amber Dorrell is an experienced workers’ compensation defense attorney in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina, office. Licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina, Dorrell has had the privilege of representing a range of clients from large corporations to self-insured companies to family owned businesses and insurance carriers. This experience has allowed her to effectively handle all stages of the litigation process, from the initial case evaluation through appeal.
Janice Holmes is a litigation attorney practicing out of Columbia, South Carolina. Holmes’ diverse legal background has allowed her to thoroughly represent clients in insurance coverage, business and commercial litigation, and toxic and mass tort matters. A significant portion of Holmes’ practice focuses on advising clients on insurance coverage issues including on the existence and scope of coverage as well as declaratory judgement, extra-contractual, and bad faith cases.
Described as a passionate attorney, Jared Pretulak has successfully defended and resolvednumerous workers’ compensation matters for clients out of the firm’s Greenville, South Carolina, office. He regularly appears before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission and Full Commission and has made appearances in the South Carolina Circuit Courts and the South Carolina Court of Appeals. While litigation oriented, Pretulak’s practice is also focused on alternative dispute resolution. He is certified as a mediator by the South Carolina Board of Arbitrator and Mediator Certification.
Grayson Smith is a trial lawyer based out of the firm’s Columbia, South Carolina office. A compassionate lawyer and confidant, Grayson has tried numerous cases to verdict and has successfully handled countless mediations and depositions. His practice focuses on personal injury defense, construction defect litigation, insurance coverage disputes and insurance fraud investigation. As a former public defender in South Carolina’s 12th Judicial Circuit, Grayson combines his extensive investigative skills with his substantial trial experience to carefully craft trial strategies that meet the demands of each case and the needs of each client.
