A judicial expert can be required in each legal domain, as its subject matter can be very diverse, making the examination of this form of expertise extremely interesting. In this study, we have analyzed, among other things, who can claim for a judicial expert before the court, the subject matter of the expert’s assignment, what capacities can be entrusted to them, which principles must be respected, the judicial oversight as well as the value of the expert’s opinion in the judicial procedure.
