Insuralex Members Appointed to Lead the International Corporate Counsel College in 2014 and 2015
Insuralex is pleased to report that their Members, Alessandro Giorgetti and Bill Perry, have been chosen by the Members of the IADC to lead the International Corporate Counsel College in 2014 and 2015.
The International Corporate Counsel College is an event aimed at bringing in house Counsel from Industry and Insurance together with their counterparts from International law firms. Offering two days of discussion and education, it is an important opportunity for the legal community to discuss the latest legal challenges.
Alessandro P. Giorgetti, of Milan, Italy, is a Past President of Insuralex. He practices law at Studio Legale Giorgetti. Mr. Giorgetti has acquired considerable expertise in handling Italian product liability cases abroad, especially for medical devices and mechanical machinery. Beyond this expertise, he specializes in insurance and reinsurance defence. He graduated from Milan State University with a degree in private international law. He also studied commercial law at Robinson College, Cambridge University (UK). Mr. Giorgetti is an active member of the Defense Research Institute, the International Bar Association, and the IADC. He served as Vice President of International on the IADC Board of Directors in 2008 to 2011. He also belongs to the association of fellows and legal scholars of the Center for International Legal Studies.
William J. Perry serves as the President of Insuralex. He is Senior Partner of Carter Perry Bailey in London, England. His practice centres on insurance and reinsurance coverage issues, litigation, and arbitration, as well as advice on policy wordings. He also practices in general commercial litigation and in contentious trust and probate matters. He has practiced in the field of insurance and reinsurance since the early 1980s and acts for clients in a wide variety of jurisdictions. Mr. Perry holds a PhD, and an MA from the University of Oxford. He has been a Leading Individual included in Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession from 2001 to date. He is recognized by the market and that directory as an expert in the specialist field of fine art insurance and also in London market property/casualty and film finance disputes. He has also been listed in the Legal 500 and designated a “Super Lawyer” in the field of insurance by Super Lawyer. Mr. Perry served on the IADC Board from 2007 – 2013, including service as IADC President in 2011 to 2012.
